Speedway Motors, America’s Oldest Speed Shop, will continue its association with IMCA, America’s oldest sanctioning body, for another five years.

The Lincoln, Neb., high performance parts manufacturer, retailer and distributor has played an invaluable and incomparable sponsorship role with IMCA since the 1950s. The latest marketing agreement runs through the 2022 race season.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with IMCA,” Speedway Motors President Clay Smith said. “Speedway Motors and IMCA have a long history together supporting racers, teams and tracks. This partnership highlights our commitment to making racing safe, fun and affordable for all racers.”

Notably, Speedway Motors will continue its title sponsorship role of IMCA Weekly Racing for an 11th consecutive season.

Speedway Motors renews a program benefitting more than 200 tracks in the United States and Canada by providing jackets, promoter and tech official shirts and discounts on tech inspection equipment, flags and signage to help those facilities defray costs of their weekly programs, plus decals, driver’s suit patches and feature winner hats.

For the third straight season, drivers winning national championships in all eight sanctioned divisions receive helmets courtesy of Speedway Motors.

First-year competitors filling out and returning rookie application forms to the IMCA home office get $100 discount certificates, along with a T-shirt and decal from Speedway Motors following first rookie year feature wins.

The Speedway Motors program also includes post-season awards for top eligible finishers in Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock regional standings, and in Northern SportMod national standings. All receive a pair of TruCoil springs.

Drivers in these divisions must fill out and return the sign-up form they receive in decal packets to become eligible for those contingencies.

“This new agreement will take the working relationship between IMCA and Speedway Motors into its fifth decade, but the real value of our relationship is impossible to quantify,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “The friendships we’ve made and the support they’ve provided IMCA as an organization and IMCA members is unparalleled in the industry. We’re proud to carry on the legacy established by the previous generations of these two great institutions.”

Speedway Motors will hold its annual Racer Appreciation Week Feb. 5-11, with an online promotion, including social media spotlights, discounts and giveaways as well as virtual tours including the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed.
